Evening and Weekend Hours at Embry Hills Library

Embry Hills Library is open Monday through Thursday, and is open after 5 PM on Mondays and Tuesdays only. These hours because they make it difficult for working adults to use the library, for families to visit the library together, and for children with weekend homework to use the library to the fullest. But shifting library hours isn't an easy task because Embry Hills Library staff work in larger libraries to keep them open on the weekends. This is necessary because DeKalb County has not fully funded the staffing for the DeKalb County Public Library System.

Please join us in a campaign to urge our DeKalb Board of Commissioners to add to the funding the the DeKalb Country Public Library in order to give our neighborhood library the flexibility to shift its hours to include more evenings and weekends.

The Friends of Embry Hills Library wrote a letter to Commissioner Jester to urge greater staffing for the DeKalb County Public Library System.
